Having worked as a trauma-informed therapist I often observe clients stuck in unhelpful patterns.I aim to Help clients to become more adaptive in dealing with distress and understanding the root of their feelings whilst being able to emotionally heal. I have completed the ISST approved schema therapy training and having training in other trauma based approaches such as trauma focussed CBT (TF-CBT), DBT skills, Mentalised Based therapy (MBT-F) and I have extensive experience with childhood trauma
About me and my practice
I am a fulltime psychotherapist in privavte practice and I am based in Pagham near the coast between Chichester and Bognor Regis. I have a small office where I see clients face to face and I also work with clients online via the sessions app (psychology today).
Whilst I have worked with a number of disorder ranging from bereavement to depression, one of my main focus areas is working with anxiety conditions such as emotional dysregulation , I also have experience working with high functioning Autism (ASC). My background is working with looked after young people and I have extensive experience working with trauma, attachment disorders and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD).
I have supported many people with low mood and depression and helping them find their intrinsic motivation in life and relationships.
Experience
I currently work in my own private practice and have done for several years as well as contracting for online platforms and my own referrals.
I have worked before this for The Priory as an online therapist and before this I worked for a private care company as a therapist for a therapeutic hub team. I became interested in becoming a therapist when working alongside the young people in residential care setting and trying to understand their previous experiences and how best to support them. I started to understand that they were often told by professionals and not often listened too and I realised how validating this was for them.
From this expereince it encouraged me to start my training and career first into counselling and then developing further training and skills as I started to work within a multi disiplinary team.
Qualifications
I hold a first class degree BA Hons in Person-Centred counselling and psychotherapy, (Middlesex University) and went onto receive an A in both my certificate and Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (accredited through the University of the West of Scotland UWS).
I completed training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills (DBT) and training in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (TF-CBT) through the Anna Frued Center. I have competed Mentalization Based Therapy for families (MBT-F),Motivational Interviewing through Tavistock and Portman and recently completed the full ISST Schema Therapy training, I am qualified to complete the ADOS Observational for Autism.
Additional Information
Outside of my therapeutic interests, I am a competitive athlete and I train, compete and coach in submission wrestling and I am a firm believer in our bodies and mind working together. I believe looking after ourseleves physically can inturn help with our mental health and visa versa.

Initial Consultation
In our intial consultation it is a chance to start to develop our therapeutic relationshp and understand what has brought you to therapy now. We will speak about how this has been impacting you currently, start to get an understanding of your background and start to think about your goals for our sessions. We can also speak about different types of therapy approaches and what might be the most beneficial for you.
Fees
£65 for a 50 minute session (I offer reduced rates for certain circumstances and I have a limited amount available).
When I Work
Currently I work full time in private practice and I see clients 6 days a week between the hours of 9am and 9pm
